The Future of Greencard Golf Tour Events…
Please find below an important message from our Managing Director Richard Munroe about the future of Greencard Golf events, and our exciting plans for the upcoming season and 2024.
Having taken feedback from several people who know Greencard well, we think this new approach will keep the core values of the Greencard Tour, whilst also modernising the events and responding to what our clients want from an organised luxury golf holiday.
As always we welcome your thoughts, but hope you will be as excited as we are for the future opportunities these changes will bring.

Dear All
The first major of the golfing season has now concluded and as we all look forward to the 2023 calendar I would like to update you with the changes to the Greencard format.
I joined Greencard over 22 years ago and in those years so much has changed in the world.
Back then our use of the internet was still developing and golf holidays to France, Spain and Portugal were seen as exotic.
Places such as Vietnam and Cambodia were far from regular golfing destinations.
During this time Greencard has been at the forefront of exploring new venues for its clients and continues to do so, and your support, as a regular client, has been so much appreciated.
We have always listened to our client’s needs and your desire to venture to new destinations continues to drive us. However, it is clear from the feedback that your thoughts as to what makes the perfect golf holiday has changed.
Historically, Greencard events have been four individual, competitive rounds with a points-based system providing rewards for the top 10 finishers. Winners and those accumulating 10 points in a season were invited to play in the Finals week at the end of the year.
However, the feedback from our research over the past couple of years has seen a definite preference for events to comprise team games as opposed to individual rounds.

Successful tests of the new Greencard event format
Accordingly, having listened to this feedback, we trialled a more relaxed, less competitive, team format on the last Thailand trip and the two previous trips to South Africa – you can see some of the feedback from 2023 event below or read the full Greencard Golf in South Africa 2023 report here.
On each of these events the feedback we received was extremely positive and has resulted in our decision to revise our offering in the future.
All future Greencard Golf events, with a handful of exceptions, will now be team events.
We will be adding new events to our schedule over the coming days and will keep you informed when these are confirmed.
It is important to stress our events are open to singles, couples or small groups equally.
The precise format for each event will be listed on our website so that clients are aware of the programme prior to booking an event.
Teams will be selected at the start of each event.
We are truly excited with this new format.

Our aim has always been and will continue to be to provide our clients with the ultimate golf holiday, staying in luxurious surroundings and experiencing fabulous golf courses, whilst ensuring that client enjoyment is the driving factor.
We have some truly wonderful events lined up for the remainder of this year and for 2024 and beyond, and hope that you will join us on the next part of Greencard Golf’s journey.
