Although we still have some events remaining of the 2019 Tour including the Finals week in Quinta Do Lago we are already looking forward to next year, and some of the great new venues we’ll be visiting over the upcoming season.
As we finish the 2019 tour in Portugal so we will begin the 2020 season – teeing off in the Algarve with the Portugal Masters. The 72 hole event will be hosted at the signature San Lorenzo golf destination – the 5 star Dona Filipa resort in Vale Do Lobo.
This area of Portugal is a perfect golf holiday venue. Not only easily accessible for our European clients, with flights available from many regional airports into Faro, but it also offers quality accommodation a warm winter climate and some of the top golf courses in the World.
This will be an excellent short-haul escape for the post Christmas blues where you’ll be able to relax in sunshine, enjoy some luxury accommodation and take part in a challenging golf tournament holiday.

About the event:-
The season will tee-off just a few days into the New Year on the 3 January 2020 with our San Lorenzo golf holiday – The Greencard Portugal Masters based in the Vale Do Lobo resort.
We will be returning to the newly refurbished Dona Filipa Hotel scene of many of the most memorable Greencard Golf Tour events. There has been a significant investment into the hotel which has brought it back up to it’s rightful place as a 5 star luxury venue and the number one destination for luxury San Lorenzo golf holidays.
The facilities within the hotel including the pool area, restaurant, spa and the Vale Do Lobo beach is just 200m from the hotel. As part of the service standard we have built our reputation on there will be a member of the Greencard team accompanying our clients both throughout the stay at the hotel and at the golf course so any questions or issues you may have can be quickly resolved.
Outside of the hotel there are plenty of places to eat and enjoy a drink including the world famous beach restaurants at Julia’s and Maria’s which is within walking distance, There are also some excellent traditional Portuguese restaurants as well as those offering cuisine from all over the world nearby.
All four golf rounds of the 72 hole competition will be playing on the world-class San Lorenzo golf course which is ranked inside the top 5 golf courses in Portugal. We can of course arrange any extra golf if required and as with many Greencard Golf Tour events there will be our PGA Professional coaching available all week.
The Portugal Masters will be a great start to our 2020 season played on a fantastic golf courses and staying in a Greencard favourite hotel. It will also be the first opportunity to claim some early tour and order of merit points plus the chance to be the first qualifier for our end of season finals as the winner of this popular event.
