Many of you will have noticed that over the last few weeks we’ve been releasing our 2020 Greencard Golf Tour schedule on the tournament calendar page of our website.
In this, the first of a series of articles covering the 2020 tour, we cover the opening three events. Below you will find brief details of our tournaments in Portugal, Argentina and Morocco. There is also a link to the full information about each golf tournament holiday.
Although we still have some events remaining of the 2019 Tour including the Finals week in Quinta Do Lago we are already looking forward to next year, and some of the great new venues we’ll be visiting. We hope you’ll be able to join us and look forward to welcoming you on your next or first Greencard Golf Tour event.
Portugal Masters Vale Do Lobo: 3 – 8 January 2020
About the event:-
The season will tee-off just a few days into the New Year on the 3 January 2020 with our Portugal Masters event in the Vale Do Lobo resort.
We will be returning to the revamped Dona Filipa Hotel scene of many of the most memorable Greencard Golf Tour events. The recent investment in the hotel has brought it back up to it’s rightful place as a 5 star luxury venue.
Outside of the hotel there are plenty of places to eat and enjoy a drink including the world famous beach restaurants at Julia’s and Maria’s which is within walking distance, There are also some excellent traditional Portuguese restaurants as well as those offering cuisine from all over the world nearby.
All four golf rounds of the 72 hole competition will be playing on the world-class San Lorenzo golf course. We can of course arrange any extra golf if required and there will be PGA Professional coaching available all week.
The Portugal Masters will be a great start to our 2020 season played on a fantastic golf courses and staying in a Greencard favourite hotel. It will interesting to see who will come out of the pack to claim the first place at our end of season finals as the winner of this popular event.

Argentina Classic Buenos Aires & Llao Llao Resort: 13 – 24 January 2020
About the event:-
We are excited to be able to include a South American leg to the 2020 Greencard Golf Tour and our second visit to Argentina.
This two venue trip will appeal to everyone looking for something a little different in their next golf holiday – plus lovers of wine and/or fine steak!! We start the trip in the bustling capital Buenos Aires before we move to the world famous Llao Llao resort in Bariloche.
There are six rounds of golf included in the event all played on top golf courses including Buenos Aires Golf which has been consistently rated as one of the very best in Argentina having hosted several pro tour events including the EMC World Cup where Tiger Woods was amongst the winners.
In addition we are able to organize optional trips to the stunning waterfalls of Iguazu in the north-east of the country plus a separate expedition to Patagonia and the stunning Perito Morena Glacier to the South both of which should be on your bucket list of places to visit and are well worth considering.

Moroccan Open Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort: 13 – 20 March 2020
About the event:-
We always try to fit in a warm weather tournament to help everyone get their game in shape before the summer season and this year is no exception. Our Moroccan Open will be based at the spectacular Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort near El Jadida.
Morocco has historically seen some of the best events on the Greencard Golf Tour schedule but this will be the first time we’ve visited this award winning luxury resort. The hotel and grounds stretch over 250 hectres and has eleven restaurants plus numerous bars, there is a world-class spa, casino and night club, plus sports and other leisure facilities to enjoy.
The golf will be played on the Mazagan course, one of the finest designs by Gary Player, which is a links style course with incredible views over the Atlantic Ocean.
There will also be an optional team game before the main tournament starts and if you really want to get your swing and short game in top form you’ll be able to take advantage of complimentary unlimited practice rounds before the event, and extra golf on the day off, plus unlimited use of the practice facilities and range balls throughout the tournament week.
