You may have read our recent post launching the new Greencard Tour Hole-in-One competition at our event in Hardelot, France. We announced the Greencard “Hole-in-One Totaliser” and explained how the amount available to collect from the pot will rise with each event until someone hits an ace pockets the cash and we start again.
Two Hours, One 6-iron, Two Bounces and it Was Gone

Well guess what?! Approximately two and half hours after we officially launched the competition in France Lodewijk Schlingemann took out a 6-iron on the 11th hole at the Les Dunes course at Golf d’Hardelot, hit a nice swing saw the ball bounce twice on the green and then disappear into the hole!
And with that our “Totaliser” returned to zero! It is the first ace of the 2015 Greencard Tour season and added £210 to Lodewijk’s spending money – less the drinks bill at the bar!
Top Tip – Practice Leaving it Short For a While!
I have to admit we were hoping to get a little more tension and excitement as the “Totaliser” rose steadily towards the seven figure number(!), but on the plus side at least Lodewijk has proved it’s possible – my advice though would be to practice leaving your next 9-iron into a par 3 just a roll short until we can at least cover the bar bill on the Greencard Tour Hole-in-One Totaliser!
