Greencard Golf Holidays South Africa 2027: The Return to Leopard Creek.
There are some trips that stay with you long after the tan fades and the scorecard is long forgotten.
For over 25 years South Africa has been a benchmark in the Greencard Schedule, but for 2027 the itinerary is something different entirely.
This isn’t just a golf trip; it’s an experience across three iconic venues and includes two of the world’s most sought-after tee times.
We start with seven nights at the Greencard favourite Fancourt Golf Resort.
There’s a reason we’ve returned here for over 15 years— it’s possibly the finest golf resort in South Africa
You’ll play six rounds across the Montagu and Outeniqua courses and enjoy the first class service throughout the resort.
Then, we move to the real gem of the trip.
Leopard Creek is not a course you simply “book.”
It is a private sanctuary on the edge of the Kruger National Park that remains a mystery to most.
You will play it twice while staying at the luxury Buhala Lodge, where you can enjoy your sundowner and see some of the Big Five wandering by across the river!
We’ll close the book on this signature 2027 event at Victoria Falls, one of the world’s most dramatic backdrops to any golf holiday, and another memory making experience.
Limited Numbers
This trip takes in the some of the most exclusive destinations in South Africa, and as a result access is very limited.
We’ll be also be taking private transfers between all venues, and a private charter flight restricted to our group only.
Because we’ve prioritised private transfers, charter flights, exclusive tee times and our usual personal service, we cannot just “add more seats” like other operators with a different approach. Once we’ve reached our capacity we have to close the event.

Nestled between the mountains and forests in the heart of the Garden Route, Fancourt Golf Resort offers luxury accommodation and features three Gary Player designed golf courses and a wellness centre.
We will be playing on both the Outeniqua and Montagu.
These fantastic Gary Player designed courses are traditional parkland set in gently undulating terrain.
The practise facilities at Fancourt are second to none with a lovely range, bunker/chipping area and a practise green.
The hotel’s spa has an indoor heated Roman Bath as well as a leisure centre and an outdoor pool.
In addition to the fantastic golf facilities other activities include tennis, running and walking trails.
For those who’d like to explore beyond the estate gates we can arrange sightseeing trips to the nearby coastal towns of Knysna, Plettenberg Bay and Mossel Bay as well as historic Oudtshoorn. There are also beautiful swimming beaches nearby.

Perfectly situated to experience the ultimate golf and safari experience Bulhala Lodge is located on the banks of the Crocodile River.
Overlooking the Kruger National Park guests can experience wonderful close sightings of buffalo, elephant, hippo and various other antelope species.
The other great attraction is the wonderful Leopard Creek golf course which is about 15 minutes drive from the lodge.
Dinner and breakfast is included allowing guests to enjoy the best South African experience, great food, wine and hospitality.

Originally designed by Gary Player, Fancourt’s Montagu course has developed into one of the finest 18-hole parkland layouts, earning it the number 6 position on Golf Digest SA’s list of top golf courses in the country.
Exquisitely conditioned to provide a riveting golfing experience, this tree-lined course covers large tracts of varying terrain on rolling land.
Outeniqua
Ranked number 16 in South Africa by Golf Digest and designed by Gary Player.
The course is named after the mountain range that forms its breath-taking backdrop, it is pristinely conditioned and always provides a true test of golfing with its many risk and reward opportunites.
Buhala Lodge Course
Leopard Creek Golf Course
Ranked number 2 in South Africa by Golf Digest and designed by Gary Player this is, hands down, South Africa’s best wildlife/safari golfing experience.
Access to tee times on this most-sought after course is very limited and exclusive to a select number of partners.
We will be fortunate enough to play the course twice during our stay at Buhala Lodge.
The golf course actually borders the Kruger National Park.
This is a spectacular golfing experience, and one you will want to share with your fourball back home!
On the signature 13th hole the Big 5 are separated from your 7 iron approach by nothing but the Crocodile River that winds it’s way through the course!
The recent refurbishment programme has made an already bucket list golf course even better and has created one of the finest playing experiences in the World!
Anantara, Victoria Falls
Elephant Hills Golf Course
Set along the banks of the Zambezi and just minutes from Victoria Falls, Elephant Hills Golf Club is another 18-hole championship course designed by Gary Player.
Wide fairways, mature trees and gently undulating terrain create an enjoyable but strategically challenging layout.
You’ll often see wildlife roaming nearby.
The layout at Elephant Hills is well designed, and the experience of playing amongst the local wildlife is a special opportunity. The course condition can vary, but but this is still a round worth the green fee.

Flights & between venue transfers
The closest airport to Fancourt, where the event begins is George Airport.
This can be accessed via Johannesburg or Cape Town from the UK.
A slight difference from our previous trips to South Africa the better connection times now tend to be through Johannesburg.
There are several options when flying to South Africa from the UK. You can fly non-stop from Heathrow with Virgin Atlantic and British Airways.
Indirect flights from both London, Manchester and Birmingham are offered by many airlines including Emirates, Qatar, Etihad, KLM, Swiss and Air France.
The internal flights are operated by SA Airlink or Flysafair.
On your return journey we recommend flying from either Victoria Falls or Livingstone through Johannesburg or Cape Town to your home destination – please note your internal flight from from Victoria Falls or Livingstone to your South African departure airport are not included in the price for this package.
If booking your own flights please ensure the connections allow enough time for your onward journey.
We can take the time consuming process of finding the best flight options by arranging your flights for you. There is a nominal admin charge for this additioanl service of £55 per person.
