Greencard Golf Breaks Vale Do Lobo 2026, Portugal
Our 2026 season will tee off in the Algarve with six competition rounds across three golf courses San Lorenzo & Laranjal.
Our hotel will be a Greencard Golf signature destination – the 5 star Dona Filipa resort in Vale Do Lobo.
This area of Portugal is a perfect golf holiday venue.
Not only easily accessible for our European clients, with flights available from many regional airports into Faro, but it also offers quality accommodation a warm winter climate and home to some of the top quality golf courses.
This will be an excellent short-haul escape to help recover from the festive celebrations where you’ll be able to relax in sunshine, enjoy some luxury accommodation and take your part in our challenging but friendly golf tournament holiday.
Greencard Golf Breaks Vale Do Lobo 2026: Accommodation
Situated less than 200 metres from the Vale do Lobo Beach, the five-star Dona Filipa Hotel is set in a beautiful part of one of the most famous golfing areas in Europe. The panoramic ocean views from many of the hotel vantage points stretch for miles.
We’ve been taking golfers to the Dona Filipa since before Tiger won his first major, so we know the area well and it never disppoints to create a wonderful golf holiday venue.
The hotel was recently refurbished and refreshed and it’s now a modern luxury hotel where you’ll instantly feel at home… it’s the perfect place for our season opening event.
Post golf you can relax at the hotel pool or as guests you have access to both the Dolce Deluxe Spa or the Vale Do Lobo Royal Spa – a short distance from the hotel.
Outside the hotel there are endless places to eat including the world famous beach restaurants at Julia’s and Maria’s which is within walking distance, as well as excellent traditional Portuguese restaurants and a vast range of bars and eateries offering food and drinks from all over the world.
Whether you’ve been travelling with us for years or this will be your first Greencard experience a golf break at the Dona Filipa is always a fantastic start to the year!
Rooms
Our package includes 7 nights in a classic room on a Bed and Breakfast basis.
If you prefer a little more space and a improved view from your balcony you can upgrade to a Premium Room from £20 per room per night.
Golf and sea view rooms plus extra nights can also be booked as upgrades – please enquire for further details.

Golf Course Descriptions
San Lorenzo Golf Course
San Lorenzo is a world-class course. Since opening in 1988 it has been consistently ranked alongside the best in the world.
The fairways wind through the pine forest and lead to large undulating greens. Well placed bunkers and water hazards mean you will have to strategically plot your way round and carefully choose your points scoring holes.
San Lorenzo has long been a Greencard Golf favourite and playing here is an experience that you are sure to enjoy and add to your golfing memories.
Laranjal
The Laranjal Golf Course is one of the newer courses at the Quinta do Lago Resort.
Rated in the top 15 courses in Portugal and a former winner of the Best Golf Course at the Portuguese Travel Awards this is a classic risk and reward track.
Well defended greens are a key feature of this challenging course, so we recommend some wedge shot practice before you arrive!
Laranjal is a beautiful course to experience – there are five beautiful lakes throughout the course set amongst a mixture of pines, cork oaks and orange trees.

Flights
Faro International Airport is the main hub for getting to The Algarve and is approximately 25-30 minutes’ drive to the Dona Filipa Hotel.
Please be aware that some of the roads may require a toll so you may need to make sure you have some cash to hand before you set off.
Ryanair offer direct services from Manchester, Stanstead and East Midlands. British Airways fly direct to Faro from London Heathrow.
Car Hire
All Greencard competitors have car hire shared between 2 people included in the Event Package. Car upgrades are available on request.
