Canada is one of the most scenic and spectacular countries Greencard has had the pleasure to visit. We’ve been planning this event for several years and now believe we have designed a schedule that will get the right balance between playing some stunning golf courses, luxury accommodation and enough downtime to relax and enjoy some of the most stunning natural scenery this part of the world has to offer.
We begin this wonderful tour with three nights in the vibrant city of Vancouver. Set between the Coastal Mountains ran and the Pacific Ocean, on Canada’s west coast. It is a city that attracts travellers from around the world who are drawn to its breathtaking scenery and energetic lifestyle. The day after you land you will have a free day to explore the city and there’s plenty to do and see including the famous lookout tower, the bustling Gastown part of the city with it’s bars and restaurants or relax in the vast and stunning Stanley Park. The following day is our AM-AM event played at nearby Furry Creek Golf Club, which is a good opportunity to get your swing in rhythm in a relaxed atmosphere.
Victoria, Vancouver Island
From Vancouver city we take the short ferry crossing over to Victoria on Vancouver Island weaving our way between smaller islands on the way. Sheltered by the islands and coastal mountains the crossing should be over calm seas with some fantastic photo opportunities and the possibility of seeing the local marine life.
If you prefer a more aerial route then there is also the option transferring by sea plane. The flight takes just 30 minutes, it is a fantastic experience and you disembark directly in front of our next hotel, the historic Fairmont Empress. If you choose to take this option, we will take care of your luggage transfer for you.
Vancouver Island is one of those places in the world where you start to relax the moment you get there – the pace of life changes and you will be spoilt for choice of things to do from sea trips to national parks and of course watching the world go by sampling some of the award winning local wines and craft beers. You can spend even spend a relaxing hour just sitting and watching the sea planes and unique little water taxis whizzing around the busy harbour After six nights in this lovely town and three rounds of golf, including two and the Jack Nicklaus Bear Mountain Golf & Country Club, we transfer to the airport for the short 90 minutes flight to Calgary.
From Calgary we transfer to our final destination, the fabulous Banff Springs for five nights and three rounds of golf. Our hotel is one of the most iconic and spectacular in Canada, set in the Banff National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, it’s dramatic mountain backdrop in and imposing design make it an integral part of the world famous Banff resort.
There also happens to be a golf course on-site that offers breathtaking views on every hole and a challenging layout that will bring out the best in your game. Away from the golf and surrounds of the hotel you can also easily tick off another bucket list location and visit the beautiful Lake Louise which is just 40 minutes drive from Banff.
